About the event

A two-session series to help you connect to the creative process, connect to your creative intuition and to dive deeper into art making. You can join online or in person. We encourage joining for both sessions as they will build upon each other.

Session 1: May 16th 1-3 p EST | Art making Fundamentals

Revisiting and exploring core principles of visual art making (learn some rules so you can break the rules)

Session 2:  June 13th 1-3pm | Intution, Play, and Making Meaning

Tools for approaching art making through intuition, and playful techniques to encourage self-expression and meaning making.

For those participating in person: all supplies included + provided with ticket

Supplies needed for Online Participation:

(If you don’t  have all of these, please reach out and we will make it work with what you have!)

- Mixed Media Sketchbook

- Watercolor paint

- Acrylic Paint

- paintbrushes + water

- Collage materials (magazines, cut outs)

- Cardboard

- String

- Glue stick/glue

- Scissors

- Non traditional material ideas: (Bubble wrap, Leaves, Plastic silverware, paper towel or toilet paper roll, Eraser, Plastic Bag, Old credit card/gift card, Fabric Scraps, etc)

- Anything else around your home that looks interesting and can get paint on it!
