About the event

Join Solstice for an evening of expressive art making to address racism and inequality. In this session our Art Therapists will hold space to creatively process feelings around current social justice issues. Whether you are just starting the work or have been doing it for a long time; whether you have experienced racism yourself, or are in a position of privilege, you are welcome. We are here to meet you where you are, and to hold space so you know you are not alone in whatever you are feeling: helpless, angry, sad, afraid, guilty. We recognize as a collective we could have been doing more to advocate for social justice - to use our platform to bring awareness, create space, and foster change. We know that this one event will not be enough, but it is a start, and we are committed to continued action. To participate we ask that you donate whatever you can to one of the following organizations below. Send us a screen shot and we will send you the zoom link to participate. If for whatever reason you cannot donate but still would like to participate, please let us know. DONATE HERE

•Campaign Zero: The comprehensive platform of research-based policy solutions to end police brutality in America.

• The Bail Project: a nonprofit that aims to mitigate incarceration rates through bail reform.

• Black Visions Collective: a black, trans, and queer-led social justice organization and legal fund based in Minneapolis-St. Paul.

• The NAACP Legal Defense Fund: which supports racial justice through advocacy, litigation, and education.

• Loveland Therapy Fund: providing financial assistance to hundreds of Black women and girls to go to therapy... committed to making therapy more affordable and accessible.
